Founder and Principal

Jim is founder and principal of High Pines Wealth Management.  His primary responsibilities are portfolio management, financial planning and relationship management.

Jim has over 20 years experience providing investment and financial advisory services to clients and businesses. He has worked with many individuals, families, and companies in providing solutions which enhance wealth and net worth.

Prior to founding High Pines Wealth Management, Jim was a Vice President with Fidelity Investments Private Client Group in Boston.  In this position, Jim was in charge of investment strategy, financial planning and new business development for more than 550 families and businesses representing over $2.7 billion in assets. In this capacity, he collaborated with a team of specialists to deliver comprehensive advice-based investment solutions and high-quality client service to help his clients achieve their financial goals. During his time at the firm, Jim was consistently recognized as a top performing financial advisor/consultant, and he received Fidelity’s coveted President's Circle Award.

Jim earned his BBA degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an MBA from the F. W. Olin School of Business at Babson College.  Jim lives in Duxbury, Massachusetts with his wife Dawn and their three young children.  In his free time, Jim enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and skiing.




Dawn joins High Pines Wealth after working over 15 years in financial services marketing.  She spent over 10 of these years at Dow Jones, Inc. where she worked with  both SmartMoney Magazine, as well as

Most recently, Dawn spent time as a Marketing consultant in the areas of both financial services and healthcare.

She lives in Duxbury with her husband Jim and three small children, Hailey, Jack and Libby.


Director of Portfolio Management and Operations

Ray's responsibilities includes fundamental research, relationship management, and operations.  


Ray has nearly 10 years of experience in the financial services industry.  During that time he has held roles in equity research, financial planning, and relationship management.  


Prior to joining High Pines, Ray was an associate with Fidelity Management & Research Company (FMR).  In this role, Ray provided research support to fundamental teams covering both small cap and technology stocks.  Before joining FMR, Ray worked with the Fidelity Investments Private Client Group in San Jose, California and in Boston.  As a senior relationship manager, Ray was responsible for delivering service and support to both clients and representatives.  Ray's performance in this role was recognized with the prestigious President's Circle Award. 


Ray earned his BA at the University of Oregon and completed his postgrad degree in accounting and finance at the London School of Economics.  Ray and his wife Madoka live in Boston's North End.  In their free time they enjoy traveling, DIY projects, and classic movies.
